Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Innovation Bank” was founded on October 27, 1988 and is the oldest commercial bank of independent Ukraine. The Ukrinbank is a full service bank as on the date. Its corporate activities are aimed at rendering bank services to individuals and legal entities in Ukraine. The Bank operates through its Head office in Kyiv, 20 branches and 83 outlets. Own ATM’s network consists of 79 units. Own acquiring network consists of 100 units.

Since 1993 Ukrinbank is a Member of S.W.I.F.T. Since 1996 the bank is a Principal member of the international payment systems VISA International and MasterCard Europe S.A. Since 1997 the bank is an Authorized bank for distribution of American Express credit cards, a Government’s agent for servicing foreign credit facilities, a Member of the Professional Association of Registrars and Depositories (PARD) and an Authorized dealer with non-residents in the governmental securities market. In December of 1997 Ukrinbank has became the first Ukrainian bank to receive an international loan under the guarantee issued by the government of Ukraine. Since 1998 the bank set to work in the Money Gram Service and the Western Union. In 1998-1999 Ukrinbank is Government’s agent for restructuring of internal debt of Ukraine jointly with the Merrill Lynch. Ukrinbank is a member of ATMoSphere, the biggest Ukrainian banks’ united network of ATMs consisting of almost 3800 ATMs in Ukraine.
In 2010 Ukrinbank substantially expanded its operations. The bank’s total assets were increased by more than 64% compared with the previous year and equalled to $325 million. The assets growth was mainly achieved by expansion of the loan portfolio, which grew by $92 million (81%) and amounted to $212 million. Due to it Ukrinbank considerably improved the positions in Ukrainian Banking sector. In particular, as on December 1st, 2010 Ukrinbank ranked among 185 Ukrainian banks: #56 by total assets [January 2010: #58], #51 by net loans [#67], #55 by total capital [#55], #41 by private clients deposits [#62], #59 by corporate clients deposits [#78].
In 2010 Ukrinbank has implemented modern information technology based on software B2 (CS) in order to ensure standardized quality of banking operations, simplify business processing, increase in internal control and centralize administrative functions and therefore ensure further dynamic development. System B2 helps us to provide up-to-date banking services to our clients and efficiently manage entire bank. Ukrinbank has also implemented other cost-cutting and cost-saving measures in 2010.
In 2010 Ukrinbank completed the process of modernization its management system, business process re-engineering. In order to ensure high quality of our services to be provided to our clients we started a wide study program for all ranges of the bank’s employees.
Going forward, the bank will continue to follow through the strategy already set in place by further reinforcement and restructuring in order to reduce operating costs, enhance operating performance and ensure high value of its services to clients. |
